Step 1 – Online Opt-Out forms

There are a few list management companies that allow you to fill out a form online to get removed from their mailing lists. There are not very many right now and as more list managers provide this service we will add them here.

Click on the name of the company and follow the instructions below to get
removed from each list.

Valpak

Have the Valpak mailing label handy and fill in your information exactly as it is printed. If you like coupons but don't want to receive all that mail, go to www.valpak.com to choose and print coupons by geographical location.

Valassis Direct Mail, Inc.

Select "consumer" and then "I would like to go green & be removed from your mailing list."

Step 2 – Mail in Opt-Out forms

Many list brokers require you to mail in a form with a signature in order to get yourself removed from their lists. We have created a tool to make this process as simple as possible for you. Enter your name and address in the form below and we will create a document that you can print, sign, and easily mail to a dozen or more marketing companies and ask to be removed from their lists. We will not keep your name or address in our system.

Once your create and print your Opt-Out Forms, please follow these steps:

1. Cut each page in half. There are 2 forms on each page.
2. Write in any additional spellings for your names. This is important as these companies will only remove exact name matches.
3. Sign each page.
4. Address your envelopes to the address on each form and mail them in. Don't forget your stamp!

Step 3 – Use these other online services

There are several online services that can help reduce junk mail. Here are several that we recommend you sign up for and use to help reduce the amount of paper junk mail.

Zumbox Paperless Please Requests

Use this service to send Zumbox mail to the top mailers in the country asking them to join the movement and send their mail via Zumbox instead of on paper.

DMA Choice

The DMA does not do list management, however, they do provide a Mail Preference Service where keep a list of names and addresses of people who do not want to be marketed too and provide that list to marketers. Using their online service can be an effective way to reduce the amount of junk mail you receive.

Catalog Choice

As you can guess from the name, these guys focus on managing which catalogs you get and how often you get them. Their service is free and can help you reduce the number of unwanted catalogs you receive.
